From Zero Knowledge to Deep Expertise

Back in 2017, Faizan Babar stepped into digital marketing barely knowing what SEO stood for. No mentor, no agency background, just raw curiosity and a willingness to figure things out the hard way. The early years were rough: failed campaigns, strategies that went nowhere, and clients who walked away because the results were not there yet.

But every failure sharpened the edge. Losing a big client taught more than any course ever could. Over the next several years, Faizan went deep into technical SEO, content strategy, on-page optimization, link building, and full-stack development, building real expertise through hands-on execution, not theory.

Then in early 2023, AI search started evolving rapidly. ChatGPT was answering questions, Perplexity was citing sources, and Google started rolling out generative features. Most marketers ignored it. Faizan got curious and started digging. A year later, he was deep into it, testing strategies, studying how these models decide which brands to recommend, and implementing approaches that actually moved the needle.

That is where MarketingBuckle was born. Not from a boardroom, but from 8 years of grinding, failing, learning, and finally understanding both traditional search and the AI models reshaping how people discover brands. Started in digital marketing in 2017 without knowing much about SEO. No agency background, no formal training. Just curiosity and a refusal to stay surface-level. The early years were full of mistakes, failed campaigns, and lost clients, but each one taught something that no course or certification could.

By the time AI search started evolving in early 2023, Faizan had spent years building deep expertise across technical SEO, content strategy, link building, and full-stack development. When ChatGPT and Perplexity started recommending brands, he did not wait for a playbook. He started digging, experimenting, and figuring out how these models actually decide what to cite. A year later, he was implementing strategies that helped brands get recommended by AI platforms.

Beyond strategy, Faizan is a developer who builds applications, automation workflows, and AI-powered tools. He works across the modern AI stack from APIs to production systems. This means he does not just plan strategies, he engineers the systems that execute them at scale.

Holds an MSc in Digital Marketing with AI from the University of South Wales, Cardiff. 8+ years deep in the SaaS and startup ecosystem, with cross-sector experience spanning eCommerce, finance, healthcare, and travel. His deepest expertise lies in scaling brands through organic channels and understanding how AI models select which brands to recommend.
